X-Ray Inspection systems
Real-time X-ray Inspection Systems
A real-time x-ray inspection system uses an x-ray camera to convert the x-ray Image into a video image. Both cost and peformance of x-ray inspection system's are determined by the qualities of the camera employed. Glenbrook realized this in 1983 and developed its own x-ray camera, utilizing many years of experience in x-ray phosphor technology.
Glenbrook Technologies x-ray cameras combine extraordinary resolution, very high sensitivity and variable internal magnification to provide images of unmatched detail, and is unique in the world. Internal magnification can be varied between 4 and up to 250 times. A typical production system will have a minimum of 40 times capability.
Glenbrook’s MXRA x-ray camera technology creates an x-ray microscope that produces unmatched image quality even with x-ray sources operating at lower anode voltages and larger focal spots.
The x-ray image is composed of variation in x-ray intensity resulting from transmission differences of the object. The diagram below illustrates the process, and highlights the differences between the Glenbrook systems and other available technologies.
Glenbrook Innovation
For every real-time x-ray inspection application, there is a Glenbrook solution. Manufacturers throughout both the electronics and medical device production industries, particularly those producing BGA assemblies or using PEEK™ Materials, are realising the productivity-enhancing benefits of the Glenbrook Technologies solutions, as indicated in published reports and papers.
Glenbrook's real-time x-ray inspection systems, based on their patented, award-winning x-ray camera technology provide a variety of solutions to meet the full range of production and laboratory requirements.
The modular RTX Series enables electronics users to meet immediate production demands, and to add fully compatible upgrades as future needs arise. The Medascope version of this unit provides a low cost solution for the medical device market.
For laboratory use, the JewelBox provides varied analytical capabilities.
For a wide range of options and software packages, any Glenbrook system can be customised to meet virtually any need.
